Thank you, Lou. This is very helpful. At least I feel like I’m doing something that can assist in the smallest way hopefully a bigger way if millions of people do it. I called my Massachusetts governor and representatives and used your paragraph as a template which I was grateful for as well, and I called the White House. Every day it’s something more unbelievable.
I feel for my mental health I must give myself a break from the news every other day, and get thick into the news every two days because things change so quickly. I often think Trump throws shit out there like political theater just to get on the front page doing something outrageous like tariffs on Canada and Mexico….taking over Greenland… the Gulf of America etc. I had a strong feeling he would realize very soon those tariffs on Canada and Mexico were bad ideas, and when people realize everything from China is going to be 20 times more expensive, which is everything everyone owns, they will not be happy and I hope his MAGA followers get the connection. This is what they voted for.

Just to say i mace calls everyday and have a list of 4 or 5 Republicans that might be open to thinking...and not just bowing to Trump: clear Lisa Murkowski is our best, Susan Colliins,, but also mitch mcconnell and Cassidy and sometimes Tillus and the one from S.Carolina whose name i have forgotten and Curtis from Utah. and i call to thank Wyden (democrat, oregon)for his strong work). Heather Cox today was great in naming our good Democrats--raskin...and others--who were blocked from entering a building; Raskin's comments were very very good. and Heather is always very good. It was interesting yesterday that 5 out of my 6 calls were either mumbled or else the operator played music...and the only calll that got through was to Gillibrand.
This is really a thank you to you and Alan...and all who are doing good work in our world naming the terrible cruel fascistic moves of Trump and Musk and the silent complicity of the Republicans.
Ken Tingley's substack this morning mentioned how the Albany Democrats are trying to put a DELAY in plce for an election to replace the infamous Stefanik. In the past, maybe not a great idea but with what is happening NOW, it's a perfect plan!!! The LATER the BETTER. We can also hope that maybe Senator Schatz's effort to stall nominees will maybe put off Stefanik getting finalized, too....which would further delay replacing her.
